I write Feeling Matters, a weekly mind/body wellness column that runs in the Houston Chronicle, and I make regular appearances on FOX 26 in the morning to discuss it! I also teach yoga and lead meditation classes in private and corporate settings and at YogaWorks.
I love getting to know the people of Houston, they have been very instrumental in my business. Plus the diversity of talents is amazing, Houston is an inspirational city!
Houston has been everything for me and my family. It believed in and supported my dream before it became a reality, and before I even believed in it myself. As if all that weren’t enough, Houston also saved my life, physically and emotionally, during Hurricane Harvey. No place has ever felt more like home to me.
I have found tons of support in the Houston community, from friends to local groups that have asked me to speak, as well as corporations that have brought me in to help their employees deal with stress. This goes to show how much these tools are needed!
I’m a writer and author of the forthcoming book Twin to Twin, which details my high-risk twin pregnancy, near-death experience, and NICU stay. I was transformed by my medical trauma and now I’m traveling around the country sharing my ‘emotional tale of empowerment’ to inspire, encourage, and help other families navigating through a similar journey.
“I never really seriously thought about writing a children’s book until Harvey. How our community responded to the storm really inspired me, it was so touching and made me proud to call West University Place home. I’ve made some great friends here who have been my biggest cheerleaders for the book, helping in many ways!”
