Houston has been so welcoming to me. I believe part of the charm is that many Houstonians have moved here, just like I did, without knowing many people which creates a welcoming environment. People move from all over the world to be in Houston, which makes it such a diverse and unique place to live.
“The community has really supported my business, particularly the mom community. I try to do the same by supporting local businesses and female-owned businesses. “
I take pride in knowing we are growing with this community. It was also important for me to be a part of a practice that has been a significant part of Houston’s fabric and therefore is a part of Houston’s legacy. Cohen Eye Associates opened their doors in 1949 and we will be celebrating our 70th anniversary this year!
When we moved to our neighborhood we immediately felt welcome. Our neighbors down the street have children our eldest daughter’s age and they have been instrumental in helping us learn about the school system in Houston. Although we love the whole city, we spend the majority of our time in our neighborhood- playing at the parks, swimming at the YMCA and eating in our local restaurants.
I am the owner of West U Pediatric Dentistry. I opened about 8 months ago and love it! My style of practice combines both the expertise of pediatric dentistry with the nurturing care of a mother. My goal is to provide the care that I would want for my two girls!
“My husband, our girls and I recently moved to the West U area and I can definitely share that we are already in love with our new community. In fact, the amazing patients I interact with daily (most of whom are local to West U), have helped make this journey a breeze so far. The strong sense of community and the amazing resources like Nextdoor, West U Moms & wonderful neighbors have been spectacular in helping us find everything from a pediatrician to ballet classes!”
