THE YALE MARKET A Pop-up Market Like No Other
November 14, 2020
Plant sale & multi-vendor pop-up market benefitting local Houston charity, Today’s Harbor for Children
November 14th in The Heights
The Yale Market was created when a unique opportunity to support the local Houston community presented itself.
Richard Devine, owner of National Tree & Shrub Nursery, shut down his business and had an inventory of over 2,000 plants that needed a home.
The donation of the plants prompted a purposeful endeavor to create this pop-up market & plant sale to benefit local Houston charity, Today’s Harbor for Children.
Today’s Harbor for Children is a wonderful non-profit that provides shelter, support, structure and nutrition for abused and neglected children that has had a difficult time raising funds to support the non-profit this year.
THE PLANT SALE & POP-UP MARKET
The plant sale will have over 2,000 plants for sale, ranging in cost of over 50-80% off retail price. Different varietals of plants are for sale including ground covers, sculpture plants, trees, exotic plants, vines, palms, and more. 100% of the sales from the plant sale will be donated to Today’s Harbor for Children.
In addition to the plant sale, The Yale Market will host a pop-up market under the open air space with over 30 local Houston artisans, vendors and restaurants. 100% of the booth fees from the pop-up market vendors are being donated to Today’s Harbor.
Additionally, a generous Today’s Harbor board member is matching 100% of the total Yale Market donation!
The pop-up market and plant sale will take place on Saturday, November 14th from 10AM-4PM at The Yale Market. The Yale Market is an open air and outdoor venue located on the corner of Yale Street and I-10 in The Heights. Address: 337 Yale Street, Houston, TX 77007.
The Yale Market invites the Houston community to (safely and socially distant) support a local charity, support local businesses and enjoy a beautiful Saturday in The Heights!
