What is the best advice for juggling mommyhood and running a business (or volunteering, working, etc)?

The best advice for juggling motherhood and running a business (or volunteering, working, etc.) is to prioritize life balance and self-care. Understanding the importance of nurturing yourself instead of numbing is crucial. However, the secret lies in setting clear boundaries, allowing you to focus on and prioritize what is most important, such as family.

What would you tell the old “You” before you had kids?

I would tell my old self to do more emotional work before becoming a mom. I now understand the extreme importance of validation, attunement, and curiosity, and I wish I had focused on these aspects more when my kids were little. Now, as teens and adults, they benefit from all the extra attention and understanding I can give them!

Funniest shortcut/routine for helping you through parenthood?

As a super creative person, I found that engaging my girls in painting, writing, and putting on plays was a great way to navigate parenthood. These activities provided a creative focus and kept them entertained without resorting to plopping them in front of the TV when they were bored.
