The Real Estate Detectives (Karen and Jennifer, The Moms on The Block With Ears To The Streets)
There’s so much to love about being a realtor and helping people find their homes. When things go as planned, it can be such a rewarding job. But to keep things on track – these moms moonlight as armature detectives to keep their deals moving and info current.
“Don’t confuse internet phishing for gossip” says Jennifer Gangeri. “The more info you can pull up on a new client, a neighborhood, schools, or opposing party of a transaction – the better.
There are the obvious resources, Google, Facebook, Instagram and HCAD. But it’s the personal connections to the neighborhood that keep us informed.”
What are some nuggets of info the detectives can share with you?
Restaurant news: Mendocino Farms, a farm to table restaurant based out of California. To open in the Village (and one in Uptown Park) this year https://www.mendocinofarms.com/.

And the biggest info bomb to drop; Plans to extend the city’s Hike and Bike trails. The proposed path would follow the train tracks along Community – The trail would run north-south, connecting the existing Braes Bayou Path all the way up to Memorial Park. It would connect the city! This is a proposal by the Houston Parks Board, in collaboration with Houston Parks and Recreation Department.
