MOVING WITH A MISSION: JDRF HOUSTON HOSTS “ONE WALK” 

JDRF Invites All to First in-Person Walk in 2 Years, Supporting The Greater Houston Area 

WHO:

JDRF, the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research

WHAT:

Join the JDRF Greater Houston Chapter for the One Walk to raise awareness and donations for Type 1 Diabetes. The walk will take place at the new location on Saturday, November 5th at Houston Sports Park with Grand Marshal, Olivia Stanich leading the way. Olivia was diagnosed with T1D more than four years ago and is excited to be walking for the first time and celebrating with her team, the Candy Crushers. JDRF’s goal is to raise $900,000 with multiple donation options from participation, to teams, to the event itself. Money raised will go towards research and advocacy for the 1.6 million Americans living with Type 1 diabetes. In addition to the walk, JDRF will have a fun zone, featuring face painting, a petting zoo, inflatables, and a game truck. Start your November on the right foot with The JDRF One Walk.
