I’ve spent my entire career in Houston. It has become a “small world” as I have met and re-encountered so many people over the years. Houstonians are truly warm and compassionate, family-oriented and friendly people. Doors have been opened so many times by simply relying on friends and acquaintances.read more
Favorite local activities to do in Houston? We love going to Ipic, eating at BB Lemon, and going to all of the many Houston parks, our favorite is Levy Park.read more

From a personal perspective, I think the mom’s groups helped tremendously when I was a first time mom – I am a natural extrovert, so having a support group of mom’s who were in the same stage of motherhood was super helpful.read more
I write Feeling Matters, a weekly mind/body wellness column that runs in the Houston Chronicle, and I make regular appearances on FOX 26 in the morning to discuss it! I also teach yoga and lead meditation classes in private and corporate settings and at YogaWorks.read more
I have been so heartened by the kindness and giving spirit of the Houston community. I have come across so many entrepreneurs in the mom and baby space who have all have been so supportive and encouraging of my new venture. How has the Houston community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I’ve been here for only 2 years so I am still exploring possibilities, which are quite vast and varied here, I am constantly meeting new people and encountering different scenarios. However, I feel people are very encouraging and positive here!
I’m the founder of Cypress Moms Network which will be launching this fall! For now, I have been running our social media while I work on the production of the website. I can’t wait to connect the Cypress Community with our local resources and events going on in our area. The community has been very supportive so far and I’m very excited for what the future holds!read more
