Meet a Houston Mom – Meet Marilyn Valdez of Marilyn & More

I am the founder of Marilyn & More , a blog about my adventures as a mom, entrepreneur and influencer. I also work as the Booking Coordinator at Outloud Marketing (love it!), and as a daily live broadcast host on the app Bigo Live where I do anything from just talking, to cooking or even DIYs all while getting paid and interacting with people all over the world. I’m going on my 6th-month broadcasting now and have over 100k followers now! I also run my small business called The Party Shack where I rent things out for parties such as tables, chairs, bounce house, etc. I’m working on a 2nd business now but it’s still in the early process!

Meet Houston Mom Ann Garcia – Owner of Com for Care Senior Assisted Living

Houstonians are very warm, kind and genuine people. If you are nice to them, they will be 10 times nicer to you. They inspire me in the way they work so hard to care for their loved ones. Sometimes it gets to a point where they get exhausted and desperate for help, and you have to tell them, “that’s normal.” They come to us and we tell them, “That’s what we’re here for. Let us help you. We got your back.”

Small Business Saturday: Clean Moving Crates

April 19, 2019 | 0 comments

Packing and moving homes can be a very stressful experience for a family.  Coordinating so many dates and deadlines is hard enough without the added chore of finding and assembling cardboard moving boxes.  And the last thing you want to do after you’ve unpacked is begin the process of breaking down those same boxes and finding ways to get rid of them.  Having moved their own family 6 times, as well as transitioning senior relatives from large homes to smaller homes and apartments, the Wood family felt that there must be a better way to move....

Teaching Children to Manage their Allowance (and More) with BusyKid App

April 16, 2019 | 0 comments

Say goodbye to the chore chart! The BusyKid app lets parents use their phones to pay children for chores and teaches them how to save, spend, invest and donate. Once the parent is ready to pay the child’s weekly allowance, the funds are drawn from their bank account and deposited into the BusyKid app, they then decide where it should be allocated – save, spend or share. The app also helps children learn how to donate to charities and to make investments. Learn...

How to make Gummies with 22 Superfoods for the Kiddos!

I’ve been giving Sunrise vitamin supplement to my daughter since she was 10 months old. It had helped me so much with my own health (which is a story I will share another time), that I decided I would try giving it to her as well. I love that it is cold pressed (which means no nutrients are lost in the process), full of so many whole foods (meaning she is getting the nutrients naturally occurring in foods, not synthetically created in a lab), and high in B12 (which was very important to me as she isn’t a huge meat eater, but I...
