This mama of two boys enjoys biking around bayou trails and frequenting the many Houston museums with her family. She is involved in several charitable events. Woman Crush Wednesday!! Actually the whole family is amazing ! Converging upon 8 years of music, photographs, videos, and material, mother and maker Meghan Hendley of @chapelinthesky in collaboration with her husband @felipelopezart present a digital visual love letter to the arts and the world during this cultural shift.

A husband and wife team, parents to two boys and two girls, embarked on a 10 day project with 6 days of shooting 7 VR 360 videos within @garagehtx generously provided by @lovettcommercial in Houston, TX. Once provided the space, Hendley and Lopez gathered an artistic arsenal of talent of local and international acclaim including conductor @maestroviswa , @outspokenbean, artist @dianeburko, and dancers @sonia.engman, @jlucem, and @hotfarts along with other friends from their community.

Starting today, Wednesday December 9, and subsequently every week through January 13th, the first half of Chapel In The Sky’s visual album “Future Memories” will release one visual album track on their YouTube channel and IGTV as a VR 360 video or video art piece. More videos will follow along with the digital release of the album as a whole Early 2021 through iTunes and other platforms. More guest artists and performance details to be released.

“Chapel In The Sky was born out of the consistent cycle of creativity and birth within our own relationship, partnership, and parenthood…”, states front woman Meghan Hendley. “After performing for years with bands and projects of all genres including my classical roots to shoegaze bands, Felipe encouraged me to focus on all the aural landscapes I had absorbed and processed to create a project that was a true reflection of my own personal artistic journey which beautifully complements his own visual art practice. All of this has allowed us to co-create alongside four children six and under be present and active participants within our art forms. We hope that this visual album is a letter of emotion, beauty, and thought that can be experienced by anyone with a smartphone or tablet as we shift our practices to the digital realm.”

Sharon was incredible and the staff is super professional and always hospitable. We did dermaplaning and genesis- after months of wearing masks and not attending to my skin, I really needed this! Oh hi ! We did indoor skydiving today at @iflyhouston and let me tell you - it was the most exhilarating feeling of 2020! Even Emilio was able to fly (as you can see)… Ivan, our instructor was top notch and made the whole experience super safe. Stay tuned for videos! I highly recommend this if you or your kids are thrill seekers or just need a RELEASE lol 🙌🏽🎉✨

Bo Joseph: American artist known for cast bronze “puzzles” made of paper pieces and souvenirs stripped and pieced together like “patchwork” then painted with oil paint. “Constructive and destructive.”

Julia Kunin: known as an American sculpture and video artist. Her pieces look like sea creatures - “ceramic octopi.” The octopus symbolizes mystery and is “sensually evocative.” Her work is “garden grotto.”

Dorothy Hood: born in Bryan, Texas. A pioneer of Modernism. She was wildly inspired by cultural and political change during her twenty years in Mexico. Known for abstract paintings and collages.
