Deisy: Born and raised in Houston! Both my parents are from Mexico.

Favorite local things to do in Houston?
Houston is one of the largest cities in the U.S. and such a diverse city – we love to try new
foods/restaurants. Amongst the many different things Houston has to offer, we love to go to
the movies and Discovery Green to enjoy family time.
What is your go-to activity for yourself for pampering or for fun?
Besides a good manicure/pedicure, I love going on dates with my husband. We try to make it something different every
time, from a couples massage to a night out dancing, a nice dinner, even a walk/bike ride at the
park. Just simple adult time with my favorite person!
Funniest shortcut/routine for helping you through parenthood?
Break the routine! Have fun with your child, it’s your chance to do all the things you didn’t get to
do when you were little. Be a kid with them, they love it!

What is the best advice for juggling mommyhood and running a business (or volunteering,
working, etc)?
Take a couple of hours on one of your days off to prepare for your week. Organization makes a
world of a difference.
What would you tell the old “You” before you had kids?
Time is valuable… follow your dreams. Stay focused on what you’re passionate about!
