This past weekend, Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty’s Margaret Vinson, David Atkins, and Stormy Hayes handed out 350 meals from Bernie’s Burger Bus at three different Houston locations: Southgate/Southhampton, Braes Heights, and West U. They also raised money for the Houston Food Bank and contributed to over 17,000 meals for families in need.
This coming weekend, Atkins and four other MTSIR agents will be distributing meals from Bernie’s Burger Bus in the Heights. The goal is to hand out at least 375 to 500 meals in efforts to continue supporting the local restaurant. They have coined this campaign as the Pay it Forward movement.
Justin Turner, owner of Bernie’s Burger Bus, will be on site for the event selling t-shirts with the hashtag #OneBurgerAtaTime. All proceeds from the shirt sales will go to Houston Food Bank.
