Feeling Lucky? Family Friendly St. Paddy’s Day activities in Houston | West University Moms

Houston’s free 60th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Saturday March 16th, from 12-2pm.  The Houston St. Patrick’s Parade has always been a FREE event.  The two-hour parade has historically been one of the largest in the U.S. and each year includes over 100 entries to delight the Irish and Irish-at-heart. After the parade, get lucky in the Historic Market Square where you can find green beer and great food followed by live music by Celtic rock band, Murder the Stout. The concert is free to attend.

McGonigel’s Mucky Duck, 2425 Norfolk – Upper Kirby 
Saturday, March 16th Enjoy the 30th annual family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day celebration featuring traditional Irish music, dance and food (fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, yum).  Doors open at 11 am. Entertainment includes the Irish Faerie’s teaching children Irish songs and traditional dance, a vintage trailer photo-booth, traditional bagpipe players and Irish dancers. Tickets are $22 for general admission, $15 for children 12 and under, and $25 for the Children’s Tea Time (suggest for children ages 5 and up; includes the children’s general admission for the festival, as well as entrance to Faerie Land).
