Charity Spotlight: Nancy Owens Foundation Raised a Glass at Annual Cocktails for the Cure | West University Moms

Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation invited friends and supporters alike to join their annual Cocktails for the Cure fundraiser event on Wednesday, September 5th at Chapman and Kirby. Guests relished in the ambiance of the gastropub with industrial touches housed in the up-and-coming East Downtown neighborhood as they sipped perfectly crafted cocktails. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a raffle to benefit the Foundation.

The Nancy Owens Breast cancer foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping fund one or more public charities and supporting education, care and research to find a cure for breast cancer. Founded in honor of Nancy Owens, a loved and well-respected icon in the real estate industry who lost her courageous 20-year battle with breast cancer, the foundation memorializes her life and the values she lived by. Donations from previous events have been donated to organizations such as the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine, MD Anderson and Department of Nanomedicine Houston Methodist Research Institute.
