Houston’s 4th of July Celebrations! | West University Moms

Independence Day Bike Parade
West University Place
Four West U parks will have a small booth set up, and residents can visit one or all locations. Parks and Recreation staff will be on-site, with giveaway items for added fun. All giveaway items will be disinfected, and staff will be wearing face coverings (with a smile underneath) during the event. The celebration event will be from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on July 4. Parks to visit include Judson Park (4201 Judson), Colonial Park (4130 Byron), Wier Park (3012 Nottingham), and Huffington Park (6204 Coleridge). Ride your bike, walk, run…we want to see you from 6 feet away!

Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular
City Centre
Head over to City Centre to enjoy live music in the plaza, offering a variety of musical genres including smooth jazz, Caribbean steel drums, classic rock and country.  The event is free, but parking is $10.

Freedom Over Texas July 4th
Due to the pandemic, Shell Freedom Over Texas will be modified in order to continue to keep Houstonians safe. This year we will celebrate July 4 with the Houston Symphony, including live and virtual guests. The 3 hour event will be available via ABC13 Houston.

City of Bellaire Fourth of July Parade and Festival

This year Bellaire is bringing the parade to you! Check out their website to see if you are located along their parade route.
