Independence Day Bike Parade & Pool Party

Begins at 9:00 am
Independence Day Bike Parade & Pool Party will be held on Wednesday, July 4. The parade will begin in front of City Hall (3800 University Blvd.) at 9:00am and will proceed to Colonial Park Pool. Festivities and games will take place at Colonial Park Pool starting at 9:15am – 12:00pm. Make sure to bring your camera for the annual “Dad’s Belly Flop” contest.

Kick off America’s birthday celebration at Star-Spangled Salute as the Houston Symphony takes the stage! This free Independence Eve spectacular features the Houston Symphony in a selection of patriotic favorites. The concert will last from 8:30 p.m. t0 10:00 pm, followed by fireworks in Hermann Park. Pack your picnic box, lawn chairs or a blanket and celebrate the 4th under the stars!

Houston’s Freedom Over Texas is celebrating over three decades of July 4th music, fireworks and fanfare at Eleanor Tinsley Park.
4th of July Celebration at Bayou Bend
July 4th – 12pm to 5 p.m.
On Independence Day, Bayou Bend is open for an afternoon of music, art activities, and historical demonstrations that celebrate American freedom. It’s a free extravaganza of Americana with visits by performers dressed as George Washington and Betsy Ross, storytelling, crafts, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and lemonade toasts on the terrace. Be sure to sign your name to the giant copy of the Declaration of Independence.
City of Bellaire Fourth of July Parade and Festival

The City of Bellaire’s annual 4th of July parade begins at 9:30 am and is followed by the community festival from 10 am-1 pm. Activities include carnival games, petting zoo, rides, live music, and food from local restaurants. Some activities and food may require tickets that can be purchased at the event.
Children’s Museum of Houston
Take the kids for a special meet-and-greet with Wonder Woman and Captain America (between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.), flag waving beginning at noon, a flag ceremony with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts at 1 p.m., and a science demo using elephant toothpaste at 1:10 p.m. Early birds will receive a free American flag (while supplies last), and be sure to dress in red, white and blue.

Beat the heat at Memorial City with Fourth Of July On Ice. Puck the Penguin and his friends are headed over to Ice Skate Memorial City for a DJ dance party, patriotic performances, snowfall, face painting, frozen treats and all-American eats.
