Meet a Houston Mom: Meet Kripa Shenoy of Bakery “Eadough” and Restaurant “Auden” - West University Moms

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in Houston?

I am originally from Goa, a small state on the west coast of India. I have been in Houston for approximately 4 years now.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

I have one daughter who just turned 4 months old.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you

I am a book nerd at heart and have been quite studious all my life. One would never guess when they meet me now!

Favorite local activities to do in Houston?

Exploring Houston’s phenomenal eateries, long walks & picnics in the park, and making new friends!

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I partially own and run a bakery in East downtown “Eadough” and a restaurant in River Oaks called “Auden” with extremely talented hospitality partners. We are minority-owned small businesses and it truly feels like a blessing to have the opportunity.

How has the Houston community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

While I still have a long way to go to be where I want to be, the Houston community has always shown me tremendous support, be it my bakery, Eadough, or restaurant, Auden! We have always received a lot of encouragement and warmth!

What would you tell the old “You” before you had kids?

“When you birth that baby, you will also birth a new you.”

Funniest shortcut/routine for helping you through parenthood?

Making an extremely weird sound when the baby cries so the baby gets curious and stops crying. Also, disposable gloves while changing poo diapers!
