The 2022 Colors of the Year Aim for New Beginnings - West University Moms
This year’s Colors of the Year reflect what is taking place in our global culture and express what people are looking for that color can hope to answer. Pantone, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Behr and PPG have all chosen different vibrant and warm hues for their 2022 Colors of the Year.

As always, my opinion is that, the Color of the Year is whatever makes you happy.

Pantone | Color: Very Peri

Pantone chose a color which aims to display a daring curiosity and carefree confidence – “The pandemic has changed the way we live, and we are all unified in our transformation together,” says Gena Kirk, vice president of KB Design Studio. “Very Peri is bold, yet joyful and truly represents a carefree confidence that we all need as we progress forward, together. As our digital and physical lives merge, and we continue to rewrite our story, Very Peri – a flawless mix of red-violet and blue – is the perfect color to represent 2022. Innovative and transformative, it lets us break free and dream of unlimited possibilities of the future, especially in our homes.”

Benjamin Moore | Color: October Mist

Benjamin Moore describes October Mist as “harmonious yet diverse, reliable yet whimsical, and meditative yet eclectic.” A color that is a gently shaded sage which quietly anchors a space, while encouraging individual expression through color.

Sherwin Williams | Color: Evergreen Fog

Sherwin Williams has dubbed Evergreen Fog to be the “Color of New Beginnings.’ This simple but sophisticated wash of organic color is for spaces that crave a subtle yet stunning statement. “In the quiet of a forest, our world find renewal. We awaken to a new day, and we begin again.”
Great for accent walls, cabinetry, exteriors, you name it!

Behr | Color: Breezeway

Breezeway is a, “relaxed and uplifting sea glass green expressing peace and tranquility for forward movement. This color naturally harmonizes with shades of gray, white and natural wood tones for effortless style and comfort in any room.

PPG | Color Trends: Horizon

PPG chose hues that are perfect for a refresh. “Under the theme Horizon, which represents our current state of hope, reflection and new beginnings in the post-pandemic era, PPG’s color experts identified color stories that will resonate for homeowners.”
