We sat down with Ricardo Matos of Saiter Real Solutions Franchise for a little Q & A… but first, who is Ricardo Matos?
Ricardo Matos was born and raised in the Island of Puerto Rico to an entrepreneurial father who worked in the furniture wholesale business. From a young age, Ricardo learned the foundation of establishing a successful business and how to help it grow. His first business was created when he was 12 years old with a paper route which he grew from 25 subscribers to 535 in less than eight months, and quickly became the newspaper porter of the year.
His education includes a Master’s Degree in Business Management of Energy Efficiency and Financial Management from the University of Phoenix, San Antonio (2018). He holds a Certified Combat Electronic Technician U.S Naval War College (2010). Ricardo received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management and General Finance, UOP, Puerto Rico (2007).
In 2019 Ricardo started Saiter Real Solutions Franchise to provide free franchise consulting services to assist people in making the best decision when buying a franchise, business or business opportunity. SRS represents more than 500 of today’s leading franchise opportunities and are well known in the industry for their professional approach by their franchise partners. What opportunities do you personally believe exist for individuals in owning a franchise? And how have you seen this come to life?
Franchises usually provide the training you need to operate the business with a higher rate of success than start-up businesses. It can also be easier to secure finance for a franchise and cost less than starting your own business of the same type.
Where do you focus most of your time when Franchise consulting? What area of consulting is most rewarding for you?
When I am consulting, I focus on the needs of the person and the outcome for their life success. We are all different people in society and I read the person’s desires and wishes and bring them to reality and guide them to that path that will make them successful in the franchise world.
What do you find that people are most surprised to learn about franchises?

What is one of the biggest headaches you deal with concerning franchising? And how do you assist your clients in learning more about these issues/correcting the problem?
Challenge #1 is to continue building a brand that got bought. Meaning that, just because you purchased a franchise, it does not mean you stop expanding the franchise brand. The franchise is a proven business model that can be a success, but the owner still needs to continue to strive for excellence. This is why it is imperative to find the right match between the franchise and the owner.
Challenge #2 is all about mindset. Some people’s mindset is not a fit for business and their way of thinking needs to be retrained. This takes a lot of work and a lot of time to get them on the right path to success on owning a franchise business.
How do you see the franchise business catering to minorities such as Hispanics, African Americans, Women, and veterans? What benefits can this bring to them, especially during C.O.V.I.D.?
Minorities are currently surpassing business ownership in America, with India leading the trend. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many Franchise organizations had to move their businesses into new territory, new states.
Where do you see yourself and your business in 10 years?
It is our goal to be the go-to Franchise consulting firm across the nation and the number one Consulting firm in America helping people from other countries through E-2 Visa opening and expanding the American dream.
What are some of your hobbies/passions? And what non-profits and charities do you support?
Houston has so much to offer. I like to go cycling on downtown trails checking out all of the green spaces along the way. My two nephews are Autistic, a condition that is very tough as a parent and as an uncle. By contributing assistance to the Autismspeeks.org awareness can go across the nation.
Do you enjoy giving back to the community?
I have always believed we all need to help the less fortunate. I came from a hard-working middle-class family, and we have had those moments of wealth and riches. Still, at the same time, I have seen the lower level in society that will make us feel grateful for helping the people who need help that want the help that considers the need to improve. We are all on borrowed times, and we are here in this life for a short period of life, and if we can change someone’s life, why not share the knowledge to help them feel the same for what we have.
